Lubbock is the proud organizer of Broadway Festivals, where it exhibits fun, celebration and top quality free entertainment. It is a non profit corporation which is used to finance, organize and conduct celebrations focusing on the significant history and importance of the Lubbock.
The purpose of the Broadway festival is to improve the quality of life and embrace the unique history, heritage and culture of Lubbock. It considered as the Largest Free Festival in Texas.
The festival kicks off with the parade on Broadway between Avenue Q and Universities. The street Fair showcases around 700 local and regional performers on eight different stages through out the day, entertaining around 100,000 viewers. Here you will find a basketball tournament, children’s performance stage, water polo, rock climbing wall and many more.
The concert ends with the fabulous patriotic music performed by the Lubbock Youth Symphony Orchestra which is complimented by a splendid 20 minutes firework.
